Sessional Instructor, Winter 2020, Department of Psychology

Position Description

The Department of Psychology invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach the following course in Winter 2020:

Winter 2020
PSYC 345  Social Psychology (TR 11:00 - 12:15)

Qualifications and required skills: 

  • PhD in psychology** 
  • Experience teaching undergraduate university courses

  • Proof of completion of PhD 
  • Cover letter
  • Current CV
  • Statement of teaching philosophy 
  • Course names and descriptions of courses you have taught 
  • Teaching evaluations from a course you have taught or for which you have been a TA

**Doctoral students who have passed their candidacy exams 30 days before the course begins are eligible to apply. Please indicate in your letter of application the anticipated dates for completion of the candidacy exams.

Please note that these courses are tentative, pending sufficient enrollments.

For salary information, please refer to TUCFA's Collective Agreement, Schedule B. As per the Collective Agreement, the Department of Psychology adheres to the right of first refusal terms (Section 23.12.1 and 23.12.2) for Sessional Appointments.
